Have you heard of Mexico's largest wine region, and the birthplace of New World wine, Valle de Guadalupe? Well, if you haven't, you aren't alone....but you soon will be! The Valle is growing at breakneck speed, and just like the Livermore Valley, is currently undergoing a renaissance. Much like the more fleshed out California regions, like Napa or Sonoma, you can find a multitude of wineries (both extravagant and modest), acres and acres of vineyards, world-class restaurants boasting Michelin star chefs, and funky/fancy/contemporary hotels and resorts.
But, we're here for the wines, aren't we? So, that's what we'll be focusing on in this tasting session. Join me to taste and discuss several of the best wines I've found from my travels there!
We'll discuss the varietals grown there, terroir, climate, marine influence, history of the region, and the signature savory quality that a lot of wines from that region have (yes, you will see what I mean when you taste!). I will also share my impressions of this unique, amazing region as a travel destination.
This class will fill up at 15 people.
*Ticket fee includes a sparkling wine reception and personal charcuterie plate. Please specify in the notes during checkout if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions.

Although not affiliated with the class, Rodrigue Molyneaux Winery has been kind enough to offer their clubhouse as a venue.
The winery is located in South Livermore, and has been in town since 1998, when the first vines were planted in their estate vineyard. They now proudly grow Italian varietals Barbera, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Teraldego, and Fiano, as well as the Bordeaux varietals Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. They are one of the few wineries in Livermore Valley that make this many Italian varietal wines. All of the grapes for their wines come from the Livermore Valley AVA, and they make white, red, and dessert wines, including some red blends.
Come back and visit during tasting hours and enjoy their meticulously-landscaped gardens!
